In half term this year we hired a couple of lovely type 2 vw campervans from the lovely people at: http://www.oconnorscampers.co.uk/
Really good service and we really enjoyed our 5 day, 4 x night adventure away in the vans.
We did a couple of nights wild camping in Dartmoor and followed it up with some nights in proper campsites with the luxury of a toilet and amazingly lovely warm, working showers! bliss.
